With the introduction of revalidation by the General Dental Council (as outlined in their press release of 14 October 2010) and the compliance registration and monitoring required
by the Care Quality Commission, these surveys could be a valuable method of capturing relevant and useful service user feedback. In fact the use of the colleague feedback tool in
conjunction with patient feedback on practitioners and practice, using the dual purpose Dental Practice Questionnaire, may enable requirements from both bodies to be met.
Our many years of experience in the formulation and running of our own surveys for healthcare providers nationally and internationally and joint work with the Peninsula College
of Medicine and Dentistry on the implementation of the General Medical Council’s patient and colleague questionnaires, have provided us the expertise to provide surveys, reports
and process models to best suit a wide range of clinical settings.
