Multi-Source (MSF) and 360o Feedback

About MSF / 360o

The MSF/360o process enables you to gain valuable insight into how you are perceived as a professional by a broad range of your colleagues and patients with the additional dimension of your own self assessment.

Choices for MSF

PMS logoAs an approved supplier to the General Medical Council (GMC), we are working with our research partner Peninsula Medical School to further investigate the properties and potential of the GMC patient and colleague questionnaires for possible use in Revalidation of UK doctors.

In addition we have our own extensively validated survey tool CFEP360 that has been widely used across the Healthcare profession.

How does it work?

  • We send you all you need to complete the survey, including a full support pack
  • The survey is completed and returned to CFEP
  • We provide an informative and easy to understand report
  • You use the report to celebrate your successes and target your areas for improvement

What you get

  • Full support from a dedicated team

  • Benchmarks to provide an indication of performance

NB: As part of our commitment to providing a professional service, we ask you to nominate a Supporting Medical Colleague (SMC) who will support and discuss the report with you. In most cases feedback is very positive and encouraging but occasionally clinicians can feel unhappy or hurt by the feedback they receive and this is why the nomination of a SMC is essential. This person will probably not be your appraiser but more likely a trusted colleague who you feel will be honest with you and supportive. CFEP will send your identified SMC some guidance notes on how to undertake the discussion, and if you agree, CFEP will send them copy of your report at the same time as you receive yours (please indicate this on the application form).
