About IPQ
The IPQ is a long established, extensively validated patient feedback tool. As well as obtaining constructive Practice feedback, the IPQ can be simultaneously used to obtain individual practitioner consultation skills feedback. It is suitable for doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
IPQ will provide information right across your practice and has been reported by practice staff as “minimally disruptive” to administer.
How does it work?
- We send you all you need to complete the survey, including a full support pack
- The survey is completed and returned to CFEP

Thinking about revalidation
IPQ has been identified as fit for purpose for revalidation. Individual clinician results can help GPs undertake appraisal and prepare for revalidation (see MSF/360o).
