Out of Hours Patient Questionnaire (OPQ)

About OPQ

The OPQ is designed to help Out of Hours care providers to improve care and services offered to patients. The questionnaire was developed following work undertaken with the Peninsula Medical School and the University of Manchester.

OPQ looks at the three call types: home visits, treatment centre and telephone advice. Any combination or all of these services can be surveyed at any given time. The questionnaire focuses on key elements of the patient experience pathway from access through to post consultation.

How does it work?

  • We send you/your patients all you need to complete the survey, including explanatory letter
  • The survey is completed and returned to CFEP
  • We provide an informative and easy to understand report
  • Benchmarks to provide an indication of performance
  • You use the report to celebrate your successes and target your areas for improvement

What you get.

  • Clear guidance for completion of the survey
  • Full support from a dedicated team
  • Quality report designed to stimulate personal development
